GARDEN PRAYER & FOOD DISTRIBUTION

The Garden Prayer and Food Distribution Ministry supports the work of the non-profit faith based organization, The Narrow Door. The Narrow Door works with many churches and organizations in the area to provide assistance to the less fortunate in the community. The Narrow Door encourages people to be the hands and feet of Christ and to love their neighbor in the time of need.

Currently, The Garden Prayer and Food Ministry delivers food to two trailer parks in the East Valley on the third Saturday of each month. We meet at the church at 8:00 a.m. We go door-to-door to deliver food boxes filled with eggs, meat, canned goods, and vegetables. We pray and build relationships with people in the community. We serve over 250 families at this time. 

Our role is likely to change as the services of The Narrow Door expand. People from The Garden are encouraged to support The Narrow Door in all areas of need. On Tuesday, a mobile food kitchen goes out to homeless camps. On Wednesday, volunteers gather at Miles Park to worship, present a gospel message, and provide food for the homeless and working poor that stay in and around the park. During the week, people are needed to box the food. There are also many other opportunities for you to get involved.
